Tuff Tones swing band is a Denver-based brass powered dance experience. Their bold, horn-heavy sound calls upon the memory of the iconic sounds of brass bandleaders Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman and Louis Prima.

Tuff Tones is proud to feature some of the most accomplished brass talents in Colorado with traditional New Orleans sounds. Frontman Armando Lopez is an alumni of the inaugural class of the Denver Jazz Club Youth All Stars and has played swing music for Denver dancers for over ten years. He has performed on stage with national acts across the country including Grammy award-winning Rebirth Brass Band, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Jon Batiste and Stay Human, and New Breed Brass Band.

Tubist Khalil Simon hails from New Orleans, bringing an unmatched low brass tone to the front range. Khalil is the leader of the nationally acclaimed Brothers of Brass Band, bringing the southern brass tradition to audiences across the country.

Their combined talents makes the Tuff Tones swing band a one-of-a-kind live music experience not to be missed!
