✨ Step Into the Magic of The 5 Points Nutcracker: A Holiday Jazz Experience ✨

This is not just a performance — it’s a journey through memory, rhythm, and time.

Wander in to the echoing halls of The Savoy Denver, where shadows dance and music tells stories long kept quiet. The 5 Points Nutcracker reimagines a timeless holiday tale, weaving it with the heartbeat of Denver’s historic Five Points a place once called "The Harlem of the West."

🎷 A Symphony of Legacy & Imagination

Set to the legendary 1960 jazz suite by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, this immersive experience blends ballet, swing, breakdance, afrobeat, and street dance with live jazz, spoken word, and shadow puppetry. Directed by Larea Edwards, musical direction by Tenia Nelson, with an all-star cast and band - this is The Nutcracker as you've never seen or felt before.

🌟 A Celebration of Culture & Community

Celebrate the legacy of Five Points and experience the love letter to a neighborhood and its people — to Black musicians, entrepreneurs, and culture-bearers whose brilliance shaped Colorado’s soul. This is a reclaiming of holiday space with joy, power, and presence.

LuneAseas

LuneAseas is a Colorado nonprofit bringing artists and communities together through multidisciplinary performance and therapeutic arts programming. For more than a decade, we've created spaces for people to make, experience, and connect through art.

Rooted in multidisciplinary performance, LuneAseas has evolved in recent years to bring that same creative spirit into Troupe Therapy, expanding our work beyond the stage and into therapeutic arts programming centered on connection, expression, healing, and creative exploration.

Our mission is to create opportunities for artists across disciplines, produce unique arts experiences for our community, and bring the healing and connective power of creativity to incarcerated people, people in recovery, and people navigating trauma or mental health challenges.

Throughout the years, the LuneAsas has blossomed from its grassroots beginnings into a vibrant and dedicated nonprofit; producing innovative performances, immersive arts experiences, engaging workshops, and the beloved annual Independent Silent Film Festival. Along this journey, Six Degrees transformed into LuneAseas, a name inspired by Le Voyage dans la Lune, and reflective of our affection for the imaginative, unexpected, and wonderfully unconventional.
