Join us on Saturday, April 4, 2026 for the culminating evening of the 2026 Diasporic Movie Night Film & Food Series at The People’s Building in the Aurora Cultural Arts District.
This final installment brings together powerful stories from across the African diaspora through three dynamic short films:
From the Farm to Your Cup by Ousmane Ndoye & Trey Johnson (USA & Ethiopia), featuring local business owners of Lucy Coffee
Buy & Sellam by Ousmane Ndoye & Trey Johnson (USA & Cameroon), highlighting the Cameroonian community in Colorado
TOGO: The Smile of Africa by Modeste Dawate with Global Movie Studios in Kara, Togo
The evening begins with an art walk, merchant pop-up, and culturally inspired food offerings, inviting guests to gather, connect, and experience global flavors before the films begin.
Following the screenings, stay for an intimate Q&A with the filmmakers and hosts, exploring themes of entrepreneurship, cultural preservation, and the vibrant diaspora communities shaping our local and global landscape.
